Sign the petition asking Auckland Transport to commission an independent review of the raised concreate speed bump across the Universal Drive/Rathgar Road intersection.
We support sensible safety improvements that make our roads safer for all users. However, we also believe safety improvements must be designed in a way that is proportionate to the location and that does not create new and serious congestion problems for West Aucklanders who travel along one Universal Drive, being one of West Auckland’s busiest arterial routes.
We have heard from residents, who also believe that the speed bump is creating unnecessary disruptions to traffic flow, causing serious congestion problems.
We are specifically requesting:
- An urgent review of the speed bump on Universal Drive
- That Auckland Transport consider the of removal of this speed bump or alternative traffic calming measures.
