Minister Willis talks going for growth in Wairarapa
“I am delighted to have shown Hon. Nichola Willis Minister of Finance, Minister for Economic Growth and Minister for Social Investment around the Wairarapa Electorate today. The Minister was keen to hear from businesses going for growth,” Mike Butterick MP for Wairarapa says.
“We made a visit to Hansell’s Masterton and talked through some of the challenges and opportunities they are working through as they realign their operation under new ownership.”
“Our time talking with excavator attachment manufacturer, Attach2, was valuable, we discussed the impact of a whole range of legislative changes on the industry as well as hearing more about this busy local company.”
“At the annual Wairarapa Business Summit the Minister talked to several of the region’s innovative small businesses owners. I was so pleased to introduce her to some of the passionate, creative Wairarapa people that are working hard to grow our region. A big shout out to the Business Wairarapa team for putting on another quality event.”
“It was a pleasure to talk with some many talented and energised business owners today and have the opportunity to thank them for the contribution they make. I can see the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the Wairarapa,” Minister Willis said.
“At the Summit I reflected that New Zealand is a safe and democratically stable country with resources we can maximise to build a vibrant, sustainable economy. It’s been a tough time in the New Zealand economy but as a small business, if you have held on these past few years you’re a real winner – the best is absolutely ahead of us.”
