Our 2026 Bluegreens Forum will celebrate 28 years of the Bluegreens, making us National’s longest-running special interest group. Bluegreens are part of a new generation of thinkers who believe that successful economic and environmental policy can and must go hand in hand in order to provide a cleaner, greener, brighter future for all New Zealanders. In 2026, we will be holding our Forum at St Patrick’s College, 581 Evans Bay Parade, Kilbirnie, Wellington.
SATURDAY 21st FEBRUARY
Our spokespersons and NGO’s will be leading discussions on a Bluegreens vision for New Zealand. Our theme for 2026 is our “Bluegreen Economy”.
SATURDAY EVENING DINNER
A relaxed BBQ dinner and refreshments, featuring a special guest speaker, will take place in the gardens of one of Wellington’s most remarkable private residences. The house and its grounds are preserved as a piece of living heritage, offering a unique setting for an evening of conversation and connection. Please note that this will be limited to 110 people. A Guided Walking Tour with the NZ Green Building Council
Wellington is home to some of the most innovative and award‑winning green buildings in the country, and this walking tour, developed in partnership with the New Zealand Green Building Council,
offers a rare opportunity to see them up close and with one even still under construction, featuring the use of New Zealand -grown and -sourced mass timber, structural timber systems.
This curated field trip showcases three exceptional buildings within easy walking distance of each other in the Wellington CBD.
