A regional fuel tax created by Labour will have a serious impact on the cost of living for hardworking Kiwis.

Under National, we were able to live within our means while investing in large projects in Auckland like Waterview, the Western Ring Route, Electrification of Auckland’s commuter rail, and the Auckland Central Rail Link.

Labour would make Aucklanders pay at least another 10 cents a litre every time they fill up their tank and that’s just for starters.

Last time around, Wellington and Canterbury were lining up for regional taxes too. There is also no national price so fuel companies could easily transfer the cost to motorists around the country.
