Voting is well underway - get out today and Party Vote for National!
Since voting opened on Monday, hundreds of thousands of Kiwis have headed to their local polling station to cast their vote.
If you haven't already paid a visit to a voting place near you, please make a plan to go out this weekend and give your Party Vote to National.
I cannot emphasise enough how important it is that you, your friends, and your family head out and cast your vote to change the government.
I've heard people say that National have already won this election so they don't need to worry about voting - that couldn't be further from the truth. Like all MMP elections, this election is going to be incredibly close! The TVNZ poll this week showed that we do not yet have the numbers to form a stable coalition with ACT.
Off current polling, there is the chance that we could end election night with no clear winner. Then there would be weeks and weeks of coalition talks after October 14th. During that time there will be no action to rebuild the economy, no action to reduce the cost of living, and no actions on the important issues that matter to you.
And even with weeks of negotiations, there is still no guarantee of a certain outcome.
Don't risk the future of this country. The ONLY way to guarantee a change of government is to get out to your local polling booth and give National your Party Vote.
Below is a map showing the voting booths available across Selwyn from tomorrow until next Friday. You can also check out all voting booths that are available on Election Day itself on the Electoral Commission website here.
I was very proud to join Christopher Luxon and my National Party colleagues at National’s Better Health Outcomes policy announcement in Rolleston earlier this week!
National believes mothers and newborn babies deserve the best start in life - so today we announced we will offer every mother of a newborn a three-day stay in a postnatal facility, so they get extra support if they’d like it.
We also committed to ensure any child with Type 1 diabetes can get a funded Continuous Glucose Monitor funded - as we know the cost is a barrier to many families.
Finally, we announced that National will double the number of clinical psychologists being trained and increase the number of psychiatrists being trained by a third.
By focusing on your needs, not the bureaucracy, a National government will deliver better healthcare.

If New Zealanders choose a National-led government to rebuild the economy and deliver tax relief, we will go to work immediately implementing our 100 Day Action Plan. We will get started on a big Parliamentary agenda by introducing legislation to:
In our first 100 days we’ll also cancel Labour’s planned fuel tax hikes, repeal the Ute Tax, stop work on the Jobs Tax, instruct public sector Chief Executives to start identifying back-office savings and report their spending on consultants, ban cellphones in schools, require primary and intermediate schools to prepare to teach an hour a day each of reading, writing and maths, stop Labour’s blanket speed limit reductions, stop work on the Lake Onslow scheme, introduce a fast-track consenting regime and establish a Priority One category on the social housing waitlist to more quickly move families out of emergency housing and into permanent homes.
These are just some of the actions a National led government will take in our first 100 days.

With just over a week to go until Election Day, I've been keeping busy to connect with as many people as possible to share National's plans to get New Zealand back on track!
This week I've been out doorknocking in Rolleston, Hororata, and Springston, and when I've not been out on the doorstep, I've been phoning hundreds of people.
I've also really enjoyed my regular coffee meetings at cafes around the district, this week at the Hororata Cafe, and I had some really good conversations with people at my Pub Politics event at The Good Home in Prebbleton last night!
With 8 days to go, I'll continue to campaign as much as I can to get people to two tick National at the polling booth as New Zealand cannot afford another three years of Labour!
As always, my team and I are here and available to help.
You can get in touch with us by emailing [email protected], phone 03 344 2800, or pop into the office in Rolleston Square between Monday and Fridays, 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Kind regards,
